MY ELECTIONS — Seven Years Inside Israeli Democracy

For the past seven years, Canadian filmmaker Igal Hecht has been documenting Israel’s political landscape through MY ELECTIONS, a documentary series that began as a three-month project and evolved into an extraordinary seven-year journey into the heart of Israeli democracy. A few weeks ago, Hecht returned to Israel to cover the country’s sixth election cycle, capturing the political drama, competing visions, and defining moments shaping the nation’s future. Joined once again by acclaimed Israeli cinematographer Lior Cohen and production manager Hadas Reches Mozes, Hecht has spent an intense and fascinating few weeks on the ground, documenting a country at another critical crossroads. MY ELECTIONS is scheduled for release in 2028, marking Israel’s 80th anniversary of independence. The journey continues.
